"Do no harm. And do no knock-knock jokes," would be the start of Jacki's Hippocratic Oath.
Laughter is delightful—as it is the natural, outward expression of our inner humor. But Jacki's teaching brings people to a new level, where the joy is deeper and frequently longer lasting than a punch line.
She knows, from personal and professional experience, that even a nanosecond of positive humor can have a profound impact. When you laugh or even crack a smile, you are in the moment where fear is absent, joy abounds and hope is reborn.
"I have seen this magic time and again," says Jacki, "in the lives of those we have touched in long term care, hospitals and workshops."
She often says she sees with her ears, hears with her eyes and touches with heart. And she hopes her gift of good humor is re-gifted over and over again to help people heal.
